Back on track
Eeks! I am not doing well as a blogger. I gotta get figured out a good time to do this each day. I will. The past few days I have been pretty blah. Don't know why, but I am still the same.
I think getting under 160 lbs was a big thing for me and I have really slowed down on the amount that I am losing. I tell myself that 1 lb a week is good. It doesn't communicate that to my heart and I am feeling a little disappointed in my progress. I really want to be at 45 lbs lost by my birthday in 3 weeks and don't know if 6 lbs is doable by then.
On a brighter side...Tony and I are planning a trip, maybe two, to Kansas in Sept to watch Teddy's college games. Very excited about that!
I am going to get the painting done in my kitchen by next Tuesday and that will be great! Can't wait for my sisters to come see...hint...hint.
Gotta go for now, but will probably come back and write more later tonight. I close and we will be in the building until midnight..ugh.

Denver Remodelers return home
Whew! What an intense week. Tony and I spent 8 days working on his brother's bathroom in Denver. It was tons of work, but also very rewarding. Tony's brother Ted and his wife Cindy have always been very generous with us, both with their time and talents. It was a gift for us to be able to do something signifigant for them.
Here are a few before and after pics. We...as in Tony...had to tear out the subflooring and replace it before we could start. He worked with a couple of Ted's friends to replace the sheet rock and then put the durarock in behind the new jetted tub.
All in all, it turned out pretty nice. The tile was a bugger and I had never done a floor before, but now I have and it wasn't as hard as I feard.
Ted and Cindy were both supportive of my eating plan and I managed to stay on track quite well. We did have a night with martinis.....won't be doing that again anytime soon.
My workouts were also on track. The days I tiled I didn't run, but I did get a good workout with the job. My weight loss stayed on course and I should show at least a 2 lb drop from last Wed.
Also, my son Teddy flew in for four days. Last Wed was his B-day and we spent it working our tushes off. He jumped in and replaced their toilet and sink faucet in the downstairs bath. It was great to see him. Hope that he will be home in July.
Well...that's all for today. Gotta go run, prep dinner and get ready for work. More tomorrow.
EEks...pics won't download. I'll try again later.

Less Blue More Red
Yesterday was a pretty blah day for me. Don't know why, just was. Back to my sunny side up way of thinking today and feeling better.
Tony and I are preparing for our trip to Denver. Lots to do and so little time. I am writing while the repair man works on our icemaker. Keep your fingers crossed. We have become reliant on the ice and I hope he can get it going.
I plan to walk while the truck is getting it's tires rotated. Gotta fit it in some time.
Food plan looks good, I am making my list of what items to bring with me so that I can always be in a position to make a good choice. I am a little nervous about being able to stay on track at someone elses home. I just gotta be honest and prepared.
I am trying to change my blog pic to one that Darla gave me. It is of me and my dear dog Gonzo. We actually have three dogs, Gonzo and Lady are German Shepards and Shaemus is a Maltese. Fun, fun, fun.
That's all for now! Have a great day!
Oh, the title of today's blog...less blue (than yesterday) and more red (passion, excitment etc.) It also works as less Dem.s more Rep.s...whatever you like. Both work for me!!!!

One Step at a Time
Well...I never thought that I'd be blogging. But after reading my dear sister, Darla's, for the past few weeks I can see how theraputic it can be.
14 weeks ago I started a new journey in my life. After 24 years of putting myself last, I embarked on a discovery to better health and a better me. I have lost 32 pounds and am feeling great.
The aformentioned sister challenged me to list 14 items that are better for me in celebration of completing 14 weeks on my plan. Here goes....
1. I am sleeping much better. (Sleep is important and I was relying on wine and
Tylenol PM too often)
2. My mood swings are gone. (Sugar highs and lows...)
3. I feel more confident.
4. I have the energy to keep my house cleaner.
5. I have the energy to start new hobbies, like this blog.
6. My overall state of health is improving.
7. The cysts on my arms are shrinking-from eliminating coffee I think.
8. I am more conscience of my appearance and I am taking better care of my face, hair
and body.
9. I am running and truefully, I never thought I could.
10. I feel alive...not going through the motions of life.
11. I am enjoying the journey, watching my body change and my inside too.
12. I love feeling good in my clothes...and out of my clothes.
13. I feel great that my husband Tony is being so supportive.
14. Last, but #1 for sure, it that I am on this journey at the same time as my two
best friends, my wonderful sisters Lisa and Darla.
Tomorrow I weigh in for the 14th week. Hope to see a good loss, but mostly I look forward to another great week.
That's all for tonight. Will post again tomorrow! Good night!!!
